WWFM The Classical Network began broadcasting on September 6, 1982 and has grown into a full time classical music radio station serving New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, portions of Delaware and Maryland and Colorado. The Classical Network web casts its programming, reaching listeners through the Internet at www.wwfm.org. WWFM The Classical Network is licensed to Mercer County Community College and is located on the college’s West Windsor Campus.

W.C. Handy was the first to publish a body of songs identified as blues, based on lyrics and melodies from black Southern culture, that became known throughout America.
